Gooooood evening everybody!
Well, life has been crazy for the last couple of months...actually it might have been more like a year, wow. Anyway it's all good things! Finally got a great job in the print field, moved out, started taking online classes for my BA degree in graphic design and actually got engaged on the 19th! (So now I get to add wedding planning to my list lol!) I'm very, very lucky and so thankful for everything and everyone in my life...you guys included! I'm finally going to try and get more active as I love drawing, I love DA and I love how awesome all my DA buds are! So, I always say it in my entries but I'm hoping to get online a little more and maybe even comment on all your awesome stuff! *Gasp!*
Otherwise, I got tagged by my buddy
(Thank you so much for always taking the time to comment, even though I didn't always reply cause I'm a butt.) to re-post this journal, sooooo here I go!
1- You must post the rules.
2- Each person must say 5 things about themselves in their journal.
3- Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post and create 5 new questions for the people you tag to answer.
4- You have to choose at least 5 people to tag and post their icons on your journal.
5. No tag backs.6-
No stuff in tagging section about '' You're tagged if you are reading this", you legitimately have to tag 10 people (This one's always impossible)5 Facts about me:
I have a tattoo of Princess Peach on my left shoulder! Most people I talk to are both very surprised and not surprised at all to hear it. Princess Peach has been my favorite character of anything since I started playing video games. (Age 5-6 ish...?) I'm wanting to get a Metroid/Samus themed tattoo someday as both a memorial to a friend that committed suicide in high school and because Samus is another character I look up to. (The same friend actually really got me into Metroid.)
I recently got my first "big adult job" and things have been wonderful! I have a few AA degrees but not a bachelors so I'm taking online classes to try and get that in my spare time. My main point in saying this is because I used to believe I wouldn't be able to get anywhere in life without a BA degree at least. I was very, very wrong. As long as you work hard and have a drive/passion for your goals, school isn't always necessary.
Despite my (what I think is a ) positive demeanor, I actually suffer from depression, anxiety, and low self-esteem. What seems to help me is keeping a positive attitude and continuing to do the things I love! (Luckily, medication helps too.) Some days I'll try to avoid going out and I've even had panic attacks while being out, so it's hard but you got to push through it. There's a lot of people out there that suffer these things and I feel like really the only way to help it is to try to be as positive as you can and force yourself to spend time with the people you love. (Easier said than done of course.)
Speaking of mental disorders (great subject I know.), I'm also an epileptic. People are always surprised to hear this due to the fact that I play a lot of video games, spend time on the computer a lot at work and I "just don't seem like an epileptic." Thankfully, I'm on great medication so I haven't had an episode in over 10 years. I forget I have it until it's medication time lol.
I'm out of any kind of semi-interesting
facts about me, so I'll mention some stuff about my fiance! We've been together for 10 years, (We started dating at 14 years old in high school.) and we've loved each other more and more each day since then. No, I wouldn't say the relationship is perfect, we do still occasionally fight and disagree, but overall our relationship is great and I couldn't ask for anyone more amazing and similar to myself. (I guess that's why we're engaged lol.) We think the same, we both love video games, cartoons and drawing, and we enjoys each others company greatly. I know I'm being all mushy and am starting to say the same stuff over and over, but I love him very much and really am grateful to have him in my life. He does have a DA account, but he hasn't posted in about 5 years so I think he's not interested in DA anymore. Bummer. Questions from MacRoller: 1. How would you rate my artwork?
I notice your anatomy has gotten better with each drawing and it's great! I say keep doing what your doing and if you have time, maybe try doing more work with some color. That'd be interesting. 2. What is your favorite video game of all time?
That's REALLY tough, but right away I'm going to say either the original Paper Mario for the N64 or Super Smash Bros Melee/WiiU. (You get to play as Peach in all of those lol) Pokemon comes to mind too, but that's a whole other can of worms. 3. Were you into Disney at a young age?
Yes I was! I wasn't suuuuper into it but I liked watching the movies and I still do today! 4. What are your thoughts on religion?
Personally, I'm not religious but I do believe there's some kind of "higher power" that we'll never be able to figure out whether it be a God or some kind of extreme science. I have no problem with religion as long as people don't use it to hurt others. 5. Do you have any hope for humanity?
Kind of. I feel like it'll take a huge tragedy to really bring people together. I feel like people are going to continue to be selfish until something forces us to stop, look around and have compassion for the people and world we live in.
